BY CREATING AN ACCOUNT OR USING SELL YOUR DEVICE LTD'S WEBSITE(S), YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS. THESE TERMS MAY BE MODIFIED AT ANY TIME AND TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY UPON POSTING. PLEASE REVIEW THIS PAGE EACH TIME YOU USE THE SITE TO BE AWARE OF ANY CHANGES. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, PLEASE DO NOT USE SELL YOUR DEVICE LTD'S SITE OR SERVICES. YOUR CONTINUED USE OF THE SITE WILL BE CONSIDERED AS YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF ALL CURRENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK FOR ANY UPDATES AS WE WILL NOT ANNOUNCE ANY CHANGES.
General
Sell Your Device Ltd reserves the right to suspend or terminate your use of our site and services if any of these terms and conditions are violated, or for any other reason at our discretion. You must be at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of using our site and services. You are the rightful owner of any device you sell to us, or you have written permission from the legal owner to sell the device on their behalf.
Device
- The device is not leased or under any third-party financial agreements.
- The device must have a valid and visible IMEI number for verification purposes. Devices without an IMEI number may be subject to return.
- Sell Your Device Ltd may ask for proof of ownership at any stage of the transaction, for any reason, at our sole discretion.
- The device sold to Sell Your Device Ltd must be authentic and legitimate. Any counterfeit devices will not be accepted and may be handed over to the appropriate authorities.
- The device must comply with all UK and international laws, including but not limited to, all import/export regulations.
Valuation and Acceptance
- Sell Your Device Ltd will decide at its discretion whether a device qualifies for purchase, recycling, or donation and reserves the right to reject any devices, in which case they may be returned to the customer.
- If your device does not meet the conditions described during the quote process, we will contact you with a revised offer. You may either accept the new offer and proceed with the payment, or decline the offer and request the return of your device. If you require a signature confirmation for your return delivery, please inform us. We are only responsible for your device while it is in our possession. Once the device is handed to Royal Mail or another carrier, we are not liable for any loss or damage during the return shipping process.
- If we are unable to contact you regarding a revised offer, your device will be held for a minimum of 30 days from the first attempt at contact. After 30 days with no response, your device may be recycled, donated, or disposed of and will no longer be eligible for return.
- The initial quote is valid for 14 days from the date of issuance. If your device is not received within this timeframe, the offer may be adjusted to reflect current market prices.
- Offers made by Sell Your Device Ltd are non-transferable and cannot be claimed by any other party.
Inspection and Changes to Amount Offered
- Upon receiving your device, we will perform a 30-point inspection to verify the condition, make, model, capacity, and other specifications you provided.
- IMEI numbers will be verified through multiple sources to ensure eligibility. If your device is found to have an ineligible IMEI, we will contact you with instructions to resolve the issue. If the issue cannot be resolved, the offer may be adjusted.
- Any accounts linked to the device (such as Apple iCloud, Google, Samsung accounts) must be removed before payment is issued. If we find that an account is still associated with your device, we will provide instructions on how to remove it. If this issue cannot be resolved, the offer may be adjusted accordingly.
- Devices showing signs of water damage, missing parts, or other defects may be subject to changes in the offer amount.
- If any accessories were promised but not included, or if the device shows internal damage from previous repairs, the offer may be adjusted.
- Sell Your Device Ltd reserves the right to amend, retract, or cancel any offer if the device received differs from the description initially provided by the customer (e.g., wrong model, wrong storage, bent or broken condition, etc.).
- Customers have 7 days to respond to any updated offer. If no response is received within 7 days, the offer will be automatically accepted, and payment will be issued.
Payments
- Sell Your Device Ltd will notify you by email when your device is received. After inspecting the device, we will confirm the payment within 2 business days if the condition matches the original description.
- The 2-business-day window for payment applies only to devices received in the condition described during the quote process. If the condition differs, we will contact you with an updated offer, which may delay payment.
- The 2-business-day payment window is a target, not a guarantee, and external factors beyond our control may cause delays.
- We offer various payment options, though some methods may be unavailable at the time of payment. If issues arise with your selected payment method, we will contact you to arrange an alternative.
- Payments made by cheque will be sent via Royal Mail first-class post.
- Sell Your Device Ltd is not responsible for any third-party fees incurred, such as PayPal or bank transfer fees.
Contact Information
- You must provide accurate and up-to-date personal information, including your name, email, address, and payment details.
- Sell Your Device Ltd may primarily communicate via email and is not responsible for emails not received due to filtering or blocking by your email provider.
- It is your responsibility to keep your email address and payment details updated. Sell Your Device Ltd is not liable for any miscommunication or errors resulting from outdated contact information.
Transfer of Ownership
- Once you accept an offer, the transaction is binding and final. After payment has been issued, the device cannot be returned under any circumstances.
- Devices accepted for recycling with a £0.00 offer are no longer your responsibility, and we are not liable for any data or device issues post-transaction.
Data Removal
- It is your responsibility to remove all personal data from your device before sending it to Sell Your Device Ltd. We are not responsible for any data left on the device.
- If your device has not been fully wiped, we will attempt to erase the data if the condition allows. However, this is not guaranteed, and by selling your device, you release Sell Your Device Ltd from any responsibility for data or information left on the device.
Shipping
- Devices must be received by Sell Your Device Ltd within 14 days of the initial quote for the original offer to apply. Devices received after this period may be subject to current pricing.
- Whether you ship the device using a prepaid label or request packaging, it is your responsibility to ensure the device is securely packaged for transit. Sell Your Device Ltd is not responsible for lost or damaged devices during shipping.
- If you require your device to be returned, we can do so free of charge, provided the request is made before payment is issued. If the device is found to be reported lost or stolen, you will be responsible for the £9.95 return shipping cost. We are not liable for any loss or damage during return shipping unless insurance or signature confirmation is requested and paid for by you.
Privacy
- Sell Your Device Ltd respects your privacy and will never sell your personal data. Your information may be retained for future communication or promotions.
- We will cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities if requested and may share information if required by law.
- We may use your information to improve our services, and some non-personal data may be shared with trusted partners for operational purposes.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Sell Your Device Ltd, its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any claims or damages arising from your use of our site and services, violation of these terms, or infringement on the rights of others.
Limited Liability
Sell Your Device Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of data, revenue, or any other claims arising from your transaction with us.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
